Odv-554: Got an Instagram Message About ODV Coupon? It’s a Scam

This fake drinkodv.com discount message on Instagram is deceiving people. Here’s how I caught it.

I received a direct message on Instagram today that almost tricked me, and I want to share what I uncovered before anyone else gets scammed.

The message came through Instagram DM at 12:00 PM. The account showed 297 followers and 29 posts with a note saying “You’ve followed this Instagram account since 2026.” The message read “Thank you for following💕 GET $50 coupon for all purchases on our website until January 25th.”

The message included a coupon code: odv-554.

This Instagram Message Is Full of Problems

The message was filled with suspicious signs. The first thing I noticed was the profile itself. The account had only 297 followers and just 29 posts, which is unusually low for a business claiming to offer $50 coupons.

The timeline claim is impossible. It says “You’ve followed this Instagram account since 2026” – but we’re currently in January 2026. No one can follow an account “since 2026” when 2026 just started. This is a clear technical error that legitimate businesses would never make.

The greeting uses a generic heart emoji “Thank you for following💕” without any personalization or brand voice. Professional companies typically address customers by name or use branded messaging.

The coupon offer is suspiciously generous. A $50 coupon for “all purchases” with no minimum spend requirement is unrealistic for any legitimate business.

The deadline says “until January 25th” with no year mentioned and no mention of terms and conditions, which real promotions always include.

The coupon code “odv-554” follows the same pattern as other scam codes matching the sender’s identifier.

I Investigated the Brand

I searched for drinkodv.com to verify if this was a real business.

I found no verified company information. No authentic customer testimonials. No official social media presence beyond this suspicious account.

I also searched for odv-554 coupon code. There was no record of it on any legitimate retailer website or coupon database.
