This fake JuraWatches discount text is fooling people. Here’s how I spotted it.
I receive a text message this afternoon that nearly caught me off guard, and I want to share what I found before anyone else falls for it.
The message came from JuraWatches at 3:15 PM. It said “Shop name: JuraWatches. Here’s your Discount code, Jura Watches! Use JUR-475 at checkout on Visit jurawatches.co.uk https://www.jurawatches.co.uk/products”

The text message was riddled with problems. The first thing I noticed was “JUR-475” – the code is repeated twice in the same sentence. No legitimate business sends messages with such obvious errors.
The sentence structure is completely broken. It says “at checkout on Visit” which makes no grammatical sense. The words are jumbled together like a bot generated this text.
The message shows two different URLs – first jurawatches.co.uk and then https://www.jurawatches.co.uk/products. Why would a real company list their website twice in one message?
Scammers are using codes JUR-475 across different fake messages to confuse people.
