This fake HYK Store discount email is fooling people. Here’s how I spotted it.
I received an email this afternoon that nearly caught me off guard, and I want to share what I found before anyone else falls for it.
The email came from [email protected] at 4:4 PM. The subject line said “Here’s your hikr-246 coupon code!” The message started with “Hi Josliv;” and said “hykstore.co.uk without further ado, we present hikr-246 coupon code!”
The email offered a one-time coupon for any item at HYK Store with discount available between Jan 1st, to 2026 to Jan 31 2026. It ended with “Happy New Yea!”
I almost clicked. Then I looked closer.
This Email Is Full of Errors
The email was riddled with problems. The first thing I noticed was the sender domain. The email came from hikr-246.com which is the same as the coupon code. No real business names their domain after a coupon code.
The greeting said “Hi Josliv;” with a semicolon instead of comma. This is improper formatting that real companies never use.
The date format is completely broken. It says “Jan 1st, to 2026 to Jan 31 2026” which makes no grammatical sense. The word “to” appears twice and the structure is jumbled.
The sign-off says “Happy New Yea!” – they forgot the letter “r” in Year. No legitimate business sends emails with such obvious spelling mistakes.
The time stamp shows “4:4 PM” instead of “4:04 PM” – another formatting error.
I Investigated the Website
I searched for hykstore.co.uk to verify if this was a real online store. I found no verified coupon available. No authentic customer reviews. No official social media presence.
I also search for hikr-246 coupon code. There was no trace of it on any legitimate retailer website.
This Code is a scam here i apply, but not a work coupon code.
