dass-724: DS Store Coupon Message Received? It’s a Scam

“dass-724: DS Store Coupon Message Received? It’s a Scam”

This fake 50% off discount text is fooling shoppers. Here’s how I spotted it.

I received a text message this afternoon that nearly caught me off guard, and I want to share what I found before anyone else falls for it.

The message came from dsstore Shop. It claimed I could get an exclusive 50% off coupon (up to $7) on orders of $30 or more by using the code dass-724 at checkout. The text included a link to dstore.co.uk/checkout and urged me to start saving.

Visit the official website dsstore.co.uk and use coupon code FIRST5OFF to get 5% off your first order.

FIRST5OFF: Use this code at checkout for 5% off your first purchase.

Something Felt Wrong About This Message

The text message was riddled with problems. The first thing I noticed was the typos and errors. The message said “up / utp $7” instead of “up to $7” and “our order order” repeating the word twice. No legitimate business sends messages with such sloppy mistakes.

The sender name show dsstore Shop but the website link was dstore.co.uk. Why would a store called “dsstore” have a website called “dstore”? This name mismatch is a major red flag.

The message also had no company branding. Just a generic profile icon with no official logo or verification. Real businesses use verified sender IDs.

The website uses a UK domain (.co.uk) but there is no information about where this store actually operates.

I Decided to Investigate Further

I search for dstore.co.uk to check if it was a real online store. I found no verified company information. No customer reviews. No social media presence. Nothing trustworthy.

I also search for the dass-724 coupon code. There was no mention of it on any official retailer website or coupon database.

This text message is a scam.
