The email appeared to be a coupon offer from NYKD. It claimed I could get a free small drink at any “Freshtown” store by using the coupon code nykd-54. The message urged me to use this one-time coupon between December 21st, 2025 and January last end month 2026.
I almost believe it. Then I looked closer.
Something Felt Wrong About This Email
The email was riddled with problem. The first thing I noticed was the sender address show [email protected] instead of any official NYKD domain. Typeform is a survey platform that anyone can use to send emails.
The email said “Happy summer!” but the dates mentioned were December 21st to and January last end month 2026. That is winter, not summer. This makes absolutely no sense.
The greeting said “Hi NYKD” which is strange. A real company would use my actual name, not their own brand name as a greeting.
The website nykdpouches.com is not a verified legitimate retailer. I searched online and found no real company or store called Freshtown offering this promotion.
