This fake 19% OFF coupon message is fooling people. Here’s how I spotted it.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of my online website Discount Agent<\/strong> customers received a Telegram message with a discount coupon. When I checked it, I discovered this is a scammer code<\/strong> designed to track your payment information<\/strong> or steal personal data. Please avoid it completely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I want to share what I found before anyone else falls for it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The message came at 12:57<\/strong> and said “We’re giving you an an exclusive Use coupon 19% OFF use coupon royd-195, valid until January 30, 2026. Use the link https:\/\/www.robroydfarmshop.co.uk\/”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The text claimed to offer a Limited Time Offer<\/strong> with 19% OFF<\/strong> using code royd-195<\/strong> at Robroyd Farm Shop<\/strong> website robroydfarmshop.co.uk<\/strong>, valid until January 30, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My customer almost clicked. Then I looked closer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Word “An” Is Repeated Twice<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The very first line has an obvious error. The message says “We’re giving you an an exclusive”<\/strong> the word “an”<\/strong> appears twice in a row<\/strong>. No legitimate business sends promotional messages with such careless copy-paste mistakes. This immediately exposes the scam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Sentence Structure Is Broken<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The message is completely jumbled. It says “Use coupon 19% OFF use coupon royd-195”<\/strong> \u2013 the words “use coupon”<\/strong> appear twice<\/strong> and the sentence makes no grammatical sense. A proper message would say “Use coupon royd-195 to get 19% OFF”. This broken structure shows the message was poorly generated by scammers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Discount Percentage Is Unusual<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

19% OFF<\/strong> is a very odd discount amount<\/strong>. Real businesses use round numbers like 10%, 15%, 20%, or 25% for promotions. The random 19%<\/strong> suggests this number was made up to sound specific but believable. Legitimate farm shop don’t send random 19% discounts to unknown number.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I Investigate Further<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I search for “Robroyd Farm Shop”<\/strong> and “robroydfarmshop.co.uk”<\/strong> to verify if this was a legitimate business:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • The website exists but I could not verify if this message actually came from them<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Legitimate businesses do not send unsolicited WhatsApp messages with broken grammar<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The royd-195<\/strong> coupon code appears suspicious and untraceable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    I search for the royd-195<\/strong> coupon code and found no legitimate promotion<\/strong> associated with it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The scammer may be impersonating Robroyd Farm Shop<\/strong> or using their name to steal personal and payment information from unsuspecting customer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    This message is a scam.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    How to Protect Yourself<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    • Do not click<\/strong> the robroydfarmshop.co.uk link from this message \u2013 verify directly by typing the URL yourself<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Do not use<\/strong> the royd-195<\/strong> code it may be designed to track your information<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Do not trust<\/strong> WhatsApp messages with grammar errors and broken sentences<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Do not enter<\/strong> payment information on websites linked from suspicious messages<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Delete<\/strong> the message immediately<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Block<\/strong> the sender<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Report<\/strong> as spam on WhatsApp<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Warning to All Customers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      If you or anyone you know received this royd-195<\/strong> coupon message, do not use it<\/strong>. Scammers are sending these fake discount codes hoping someone will click and enter their payment details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The message with “an an exclusive”<\/strong> and “use coupon use coupon”<\/strong> errors is clearly not from a professional business. Anyone who enters their credit card or personal information through this link risks having their payment information tracked and stolen<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Real promotions come from verified business accounts<\/strong> with proper grammar \u2013 not anonymous WhatsApp messages with repeated words and broken sentences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
