I received a direct message on Instagram today that almost tricked me, and I want to share what I uncovered before anyone else gets scammed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The message came through Instagram DM<\/strong> at 12:00 PM<\/strong>. The account showed 297 followers<\/strong> and 29 posts<\/strong> with a note saying “You’ve followed this Instagram account since 2026.”<\/strong> The message read “Thank you for following\ud83d\udc95 GET $50 coupon for all purchases on our website until January 25th.”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The message included a coupon code: odv-554<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Instagram Message Is Full of Problems<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The message was filled with suspicious signs. The first thing I noticed was the profile itself. The account had only 297 followers<\/strong> and just 29 posts<\/strong>, which is unusually low for a business claiming to offer $50 coupons<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The timeline claim is impossible. It says “You’ve followed this Instagram account since 2026”<\/strong> \u2013 but we’re currently in January 2026<\/strong>. No one can follow an account “since 2026” when 2026 just started. This is a clear technical error<\/strong> that legitimate businesses would never make.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The greeting uses a generic heart emoji “Thank you for following\ud83d\udc95”<\/strong> without any personalization or brand voice. Professional companies typically address customers by name or use branded messaging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The coupon offer is suspiciously generous<\/strong>. A $50 coupon<\/strong> for “all purchases” with no minimum spend requirement<\/strong> is unrealistic for any legitimate business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The deadline says “until January 25th”<\/strong> with no year mentioned<\/strong> and no mention of terms and conditions<\/strong>, which real promotions always include.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The coupon code “odv-554”<\/strong> follows the same pattern as other scam codes matching the sender’s identifier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I Investigated the Brand<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I searched for drinkodv.com<\/strong> to verify if this was a real business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I found no verified company information<\/strong>. No authentic customer testimonials<\/strong>. No official social media presence<\/strong> beyond this suspicious account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I also searched for odv-554 coupon code<\/strong>. There was no record of it<\/strong> on any legitimate retailer website or coupon database.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Code is a scam here i checked, but not legitimate.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
